What Is Nutrx™ Technology? The Science Behind Every GardenIQ Formula
Share
Most fertilizers work by putting nutrients into the soil and hoping the plant absorbs enough of them to make a difference. A lot of what you apply leaches out with watering, binds to soil particles, or sits in forms the root system simply can't access.
You put nutrients in. Your plant gets a fraction of them. And the results are fraction-sized.
Nutrx™ was built around a different idea: that the delivery of nutrients matters as much as the nutrients themselves.
What Nutrx™ actually is
Nutrx™ is GardenIQ's proprietary blend of carbon complexes, humic and fulvic acids, protein complexes, amino acids, and essential minerals — developed through decades of professional agronomic research and field-tested in commercial turf management, agriculture, and horticulture.
Every GardenIQ formula is built on Nutrx™. It's not a marketing layer on top of a conventional fertilizer — it's the core technology that determines how much of every application actually reaches your plant in usable form.
What Nutrx™ contains
Humic and fulvic acids
These organic carbon compounds are the foundation of the system. Fulvic acid supports efficient nutrient uptake and works alongside humic acid to improve how efficiently applied nutrients are used. Humic acid may aid in the uptake of micronutrients and supports nutrient availability in the root zone — improving soil structure and making nutrients more available where roots can reach them.
Protein complexes
Naturally derived compounds that support nutrient availability in forms plants can access. The result is more of what you apply reaching the plant in usable form, with less lost to soil binding or conversion to unavailable forms.
Essential minerals and amino acids
Essential trace minerals including iron, manganese, zinc, and copper support chlorophyll production, root development, and overall plant health. Amino acids are natural building blocks that support plant growth, flowering, and fruiting — available in a ready-to-use form that supports healthy development throughout the season.
Carbon complexes
Support soil structure at the root zone, creating the physical environment that supports both nutrient availability and healthy root development. Humic and fulvic acids support nutrient availability persistently, making each subsequent application more effective.
Why this matters for your results
The difference between a fertilizer that works and one that doesn't often comes down to bioavailability — how much of what you apply the plant can actually use.
Nutrx™ is specifically designed to maximize bioavailability. More of every application reaches the plant in usable form. You see more results per feeding, with less product, and dramatically reduced burn risk compared to high-salt conventional fertilizers.
This is the same technology trusted by golf course turf managers, commercial farms, and professional plant nurseries. They don't use it because it sounds good — they use it because their results depend on it.
Nutrx™ across the GardenIQ product line
Every GardenIQ formula shares the Nutrx™ foundation, but each is specifically formulated for different plant needs:
- RhizoCarbon [2-0-5] — Ultra-high soluble carbon for houseplant root development. The highest carbon concentration in the lineup.
- Doonbeg [3-0-2] — North Atlantic sea kelp and blackstrap molasses for soil health, trace minerals, and above-ground growth.
- High Yield [2-0-4] — Fish emulsion base with Nutrx™ for vegetable and fruiting crop production.
- Octane Boost [4-0-2] — Complete micronutrient formula that fills the trace mineral gaps most fertilizers miss.
- Dark Venom [3-0-5 + 1.5% Iron] — High-iron turf formula for deep green lawn color without nitrogen surge.
- BlossoMax [7-0-2] — Bloom-focused formula for flowers, ornamentals, shrubs, and ground cover.
The result
Better absorption. Stronger roots. More growth, color, and yield from every feeding.
That's what Nutrx™ delivers — and why it's built into every formula we make.
